Official: Dundee United confirm former PSG trialist Ubochioma is moving on to pastures new

With a statement on the official website, Dundee United have announced that Nigerian forward Meshack Ubochioma has left the Scottish Premiership club to pursue other opportunities.

Last summer, the 23-year-old joined Dundee United from OTP Bank Liga outfit Zalaegerszegi TE, signing a two-year deal, with a club option for the 2026-2027 season.

Dundee United have confirmed that the Nigerian will leave the club, bringing an early end to the previously agreed arrangement.

Ubochioma made three appearances for the Tangerines and is likely to be fondly remembered by fans for his dramatic 99th-minute winner against Hibernian on his home debut.

In search of playing opportunities, he spent the second half of last season on loan at Livingston, where he featured in four matches.

The talented winger earned a trial with Paris Saint-Germain at just 17, gaining his first exposure to top-level football alongside stars like Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Marco Verratti.

After a failed move to the French champions, Ubochioma signed his first professional contract at Zalaegerszegi TE.

He was immediately loaned out to Slovenian second-tier side NK Nafta, where he took the league by storm, scoring 12 goals and producing three assists in 17 matches during the 2020-2021 campaign.
