Official : MLS Club Vancouver Whitecaps Snap Up Nigerian-Born Winger

Through official sources, Major League Soccer outfit Vancouver Whitecaps have announced the acquisition of Nigerian-born winger Bernie Ibini-Isei from Club Brugge, pending receipt of his work permit and medical exam.
The deal was completed by the Canadian-based club before the close of the primary transfer window on Monday, May 8.
Ibini-Isei has appended his signature to a one-and-a-half year contract with Vancouver Whitecaps, after which they will have the option of retaining him for one more season.
The 24-year-old began his career with Blacktown City and lists Central Coast Mariners, Shanghai Dongya and Sydney FC among his former clubs.
He played for Australia at the 2011 Fifa U20 World Cup and has two caps for the senior team, but remains eligible to represent the Super Eagles.
