Nigeria Coach Urges West Ham, Everton Target Iheanacho: Make The Right Choice This Time
Published: May 19, 2017
Nigeria U15 coach Danladi Nasidi has commented on the imminent departure of his former pupil, Kelechi Iheanacho, from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The Super Eagles striker has been linked with possible moves to Borussia Dortmund, TSG Hoffenheim, Everton and West Ham, and Nasidi has advised the Man City player to choose a team where he's guaranteed game time rather than moving for financial reasons.
''Every club has its own principle and focus, depends on his ability. As a young person he shouldn't allow himself to be derailed by luxury or richness. The moment he gets himself involved, then he is derailing and coming down,'' said Danladi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
''These four teams are good but he has to make a right choice. I can't tell him the right choice, it depends on him and his advisers that will push him to the wrong or right decision.
''Instead of looking at money, let him consider a team where he'll be a regular player to enhance his performances.''
Iheanacho is considered the fourth choice striker at Manchester City, with manager Pep Guardiola preferring Gabriel Jesus, Sergio Aguero and Nolito ahead of the Nigeria wonderkid.
