Exclusive: Crystal Palace Battling West Ham To Sign Watford Striker Isaac Success
Published: May 20, 2017
Crystal Palace are challenging Premier League rivals West Ham for the signature of one of the brightest young Nigerian talents, Isaac Success, in the summer transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
West Ham have stepped up their pursuit of the Watford number ten, with Hammers chairman David Sullivan personally involved in negotiations with the representatives of the striker.
Slaven Bilić attempted to sign Success before his transfer to Watford last summer, and it has now been claimed that the club made a bid well over the 12 million pounds mark in the January transfer window, but their proposal was rejected by the Hornets suits.
Watford are aware that their Nigerian wonderkid is being monitored by some of the mid-table teams in the Premier League, and they are close to offering him a new and improved contract to ward off interest, with talks scheduled to take place as from next week.
Isaac Success has demanded an assurance that he is in the plans of the new Watford coach before signing a new contract, that is if he remains at The Vic when the transfer window closes for business.
The 21-year-old has 19 Premier League appearances under his belt, but has made only two starts.
