Official : Manchester United Announce Transfer Of Chelsea Target Subject To Medical
Published: July 08, 2017
Through a statement on their official website, Manchester United have announced that they have reached an agreement with Everton over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international will be officially unveiled by the Red Devils if he passes a medical and agrees personal terms with the club.
Manchester United sought to bring an end to speculation surrounding the future of Lukaku, with reports claiming that Premier League champions Chelsea had matched their offer to the Toffees.
Including performance-related clauses, the transfer fee is reported to be worth around £100 million in total, including United's £10 million valuation of Wayne Rooney, who is expected to move in the opposite direction.
Lukaku is holidaying in the United States and is expected to join his new teammates when they fly to California on Sunday for the start of their pre-season training.
