Man Utd 1 Chelsea 0 : Red Devils & Blues Also Battling For Colombia World Cup Star
Published: July 08, 2017
Manchester United are battling it out with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Ligue 1 moneybags PSG for the signature of Colombia World Cup star James Rodríguez.
The attacking midfielder appears not to be in the plans of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, and saw the handwriting on the wall when he was omitted from the 18-man roster for the Champions League final last month.
To avoid traveling with Los Blancos squad for their tour of the United States, James has made it crystal-clear that he should be sold to one of his suitors in the next forty eight hours, according to sports daily AS.
Chelsea were thought to be in pole position for the signature of the 25-year-old , but United are in the market for a replacement for Wayne Rooney and have stepped up their pursuit of the South American.
Last season, James played just above half of Real Madrid's matches and found the back of the net 11 times, whilst also registering thirteen assists.
Manchester United have already beaten Chelsea to the signature of Belgium star Romelu Lukaku.
