Manchester United In Advanced Talks To Loan Out One Of England's Most Promising Goalkeepers
Published: July 10, 2017
Aston Villa are in advanced negotiations with Manchester United over a loan deal for former England U20 glovesman Sam Johnstone.
The goalkeeper was left out of United's traveling party to the United States to enable him complete his season-long loan move to Aston Villa.
Johnstone has struggled to break into the first team of the Red Devils, and has enjoyed loan spells at Scunthorpe United, Walsall, Doncaster Rovers, Preston North End and Aston Villa.
The 24-year-old made 22 appearances in all competitions while on loan at Aston Villa last season and posted eight shutouts.
