Nigerian-Born Winger Who Played On Same Team As Arsenal's Iwobi Pens New Deal
Published: July 12, 2017
Newly-promoted EFL Championship outfit Millwall have informed via their official website that Nigerian-born winger Fred Onyedinma has penned a new contract.
The highly-rated youngster is now under contract with the Lions until June 30, 2020, after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.
The 20-year-old Onyedinma had been locked in talks with Millwall over a new deal, and turned up for the start of pre-seasson training despite failing to reach an agreement and technically being a free agent.
He has appeared in 106 matches for Millwall since his debut in 2014, and came off the bench in last season's playoff final versus Bradford City at Wembley Stadium.
Onyedinma played on the same team, Blackheath district, as Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi before he was spotted by a Millwall scout.
