Okocha Advises Iheanacho : Move Out Of Manchester City Now
Published: July 14, 2017
Former Super Eagles captain and Bolton Wanderers midfielder Austin Okocha has advised Kelechi Iheanacho to leave Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
Iheanacho is now City's third choice striker, behind South Americans Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero, despite having the best goals-per-minute record in the history of the Premier League.
''I think he has come at that age that he needs regular first-team games and I think it would be a better decision for him to go somewhere else where he can play week in week out,” Okocha told ESPN FC.
''So I think that’s a great decision for him to move out of Manchester City this season.''
The 20-year-old Iheanacho has been linked with Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Monaco in recent days, but the Foxes are in pole position to secure his services.
