Omeruo Absent From Chelsea Training; Moses & Tomori Deployed As Wing-Backs
Published: July 14, 2017
Speculations linking Kenneth Omeruo with an imminent departure from Chelsea were reignited on Friday after the Nigeria international did not train with the first team for the first time this week.
Italian manager Antonio Conte continued to run the rule over Victor Moses and Fikayo Tomori, and the England U20 international was deployed in a wing-back role in the training session.
Chelsea expert carefreeyouth who watched the training session told allnigeriasoccer.com : ''Tomori and Moses trained, I didn't see Omeruo training but that doesn't mean he wasn't there. Could be inside with a little injury.
''Tomori was in the group of wing-back players, and has been out wide when they play games, it could all change when Rudiger is back or we sign someone.
''The players in certain positions all ran together to start off the session, then they got into passing and moving as usual as a team, then into a game''.
It remains to be seen if Kenneth Omeruo will make his unofficial debut for Chelsea on Saturday in their friendly against Crawley Town after missing today's workout with the first team.
