Arsenal Super Kid Saka Is Youngest Player To Start An EPL Game 2019-2020 Season
Published: March 09, 2020Bukayo Saka has been identified as the youngest player to be named in the starting line-up for an English Premier League match in the 2019-2020 season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Football stats, graphics and analysis gurus Squawka have revealed the top four youngest starters so far this season, with Saka the youngest to participate in a Premier League game from the start.
The England U19 international was aged 18 years and 17 days when he was handed his full Premier League debut by former manager Unai Emery against Aston Villa on September 22, 2019.
In second place is Manchester United's Mason Greenwood who was aged 18 years and 64 days when he was named in the starting line-up against Tottenham Hotspur on December 4.
Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli was aged 18 years and 174 days on his full Premier League debut vs West Ham and in fourth place is Chelsea's Billy Gilmour at 18 years and 271 days.
The four players were all born in 2001 with Saka being the second youngest.
