PSV Eindhoven make transfer decision on Leicester, Crystal Palace-linked winger Madueke
Published: May 06, 2021
PSV Eindhoven assume that Anglo-Nigerian winger Nonso Madueke will remain at the club next season amid speculation linking him with a departure from the 24-time Dutch champions in the summer.
The England U21 international is drawing interest from Premier League and German Bundesliga clubs, with Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Leeds United among his suitors in England.
Madueke has shone for PSV this term,, contributing to 17 goals (9 goals, 8 assists) in 30 appearances, of which only ten were starts.
PSV Technical manager John de Jong expects the Tottenham Hotspur academy product to be given more game time next season.
In quotes relayed by Soccernews citing Vietbal International, De Jong said : "He has undeniably grown this season and the chance that he will play even more next season is of course very high.
"The fact that Noni is less involved now has to do with the last phase of the season in which everyone is fit.
"The coach will then have to make difficult choices. But we are very happy and satisfied with Noni and expect to see him shine in the first place next season.
"He can become a very important player in the battle for the title at PSV."
Madueke has a contract with PSV Eindhoven until the summer of 2024.
