Published: May 16, 2022
EFL Championship club Bristol City have announced their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season.
2002-born defender of Nigerian descent Duncan Idehen is among the U24 players retained by Bristol City.
Idehen has a contract with Bristol City until June 30, 2024 having put pen to paper on a fresh two-year deal earlier this month.
A centre-back by trade, he made his senior debut for the Robins in a 3-1 win over Derby County last month, coming off the bench for the last eighteen minutes at Pride Park, before another substitute appearance on the final day of the Championship season at Huddersfield Town.
Prior to his senior debut, he played nine games for Bristol City's development squad.
The Anglo-Nigerian had stops at Norwich City, Lincoln City and Grimsby Town before joining Birmingham City, from where he moved to Bristol City on a six-month contract in January 2022.
Idehen has eight games under his belt in the Football League, with six coming in the colours of Grimsby Town.
