The Polish Football Association are set to provisionally cap-tie Manchester United youth team star Maximilian Oyedele and this could happen as early as Wednesday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Oyedele, a member of Manchester United's FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2022, is spoilt for choice over the country to represent internationally as he is eligible for England, Poland and Nigeria.
The 2004-born defensive midfielder was born in Manchester, England to a Polish mother and Nigerian father, making him eligible for three countries.
Oyedele has been included on the Poland roster for their upcoming 2023 European U19 Championship qualifying matches against Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Estonia.
In the first round of qualifying, the Poles will take on Bosnia on September 21, followed by matches with Estonia (September 24) and Italy (September 27).
Should he make an appearance against any of the countries as expected, he will become provisionally cap-tied to Poland's national team as the U19 Euro qualifiers is an official competition in the eyes of FIFA.
Oyedele is committed to Poland for now, having an accepted a call-up to play for their U18 team in March 2022 and went on to make his debut for the age group in a friendly against Switzerland.
