Tottenham Hotspur optimistic of striking deal for Nigeria-eligible central defender
Published: June 25, 2023Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly confident of striking an agreement to sign Nigeria-eligible central defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham are confident of luring Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo to the club this summer.
It was previously reported that Tottenham Hotspur were looking to prioritize a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Burkina Faso international Edmond Tapsoba over the Anglo-Nigerian.
Now, Football Insider claims that the Manchester City academy product could become a genuine option for Tottenham Hotspur as the window progresses.
Tosin's future at Fulham has been the subject of speculation in recent months as he has just one year left on his contract and not interested in extending his stay at Craven Cottage.
The 25-year-old has been with Fulham since October 2020 when he moved from boyhood club Manchester City, where he spent seventeen years having joined their academy at the age of five.
Tosin has so far played 107 matches for Fulham in all competitions, including 58 in the Premier League.
He was an influential member of the Fulham squad that earned promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2021-2022 season, and was named in the EFL Championship Team of the Season.
