Speaking to Nottingham Forest's YouTube channel, defender Ola Aina has shared his thoughts on his favourite moments and standout teammates from the ongoing season.
The Chelsea academy graduate is among seven Nottingham Forest players in contention to be included in EA SPORTS FC's Premier League Team of the Season, alongside Matz Sels, Nikola Milenković, Murillo, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Elanga and Chris Wood.
Aina started thirty consecutive matches in the top-flight, before suffering a calf injury during the 1-0 win over Manchester United on April 1, which has seen him sidelined for two consecutive games.
When asked about his most memorable match, Aina highlighted the 1-0 victory over Liverpool, calling it his favorite moment.
"My favourite moment? I am going to say the 1-0 win over Liverpool," he said.
On the game that meant the most to him, Aina responded: "Probably the Man City game, just because City are one of the best teams and we were able to beat them".
When it comes to unsung heroes, the Nigeria national teamer did not hesitate to name goalkeeper Matz Sels as the most underrated player.
"He has kept us in a few games this season. If it weren’t for him, it could have been dark."
For Nottingham Forest's favourite goal this term, Aina singled out Morgan Gibbs-White's strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
"That was a great goal—good buildup play, nice little ball back in. That was fantastic," the right-back said, applauding the Wolves alum for scoring 'some crazy goals.'
Asked to nominate a teammate for Team of the Season, Aina opted for Chris Wood.
Ola Aina is racing against the clock to be fit for Nottingham Forest's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur and will be assessed before the trip to the English capital.
