Published: May 17, 2025
Crystal Palace academy graduate Victor Moses has sent a heartfelt message to the Eagles following their historic FA Cup victory over Manchester City.
Palace stunned the Premier League champions with a 1-0 win at Wembley on Saturday, securing the club’s first major trophy in 164 years.
Eberechi Eze’s 16th-minute strike proved decisive, while goalkeeper Dean Henderson was instrumental in keeping City at bay, including a crucial first-half penalty save.
Moses, who began his professional journey at Selhurst Park before moving to Wigan Athletic in 2010, took to Instagram to congratulate the club where his footballing career first took shape.
Posting on his Instagram stories, the former Nigeria international wrote: "Congratulations to Crystal Palace."
The 34-year-old winger, who has gone on to win league titles with Chelsea and play in multiple top European leagues, remains a popular figure among Palace supporters.
His message reflects the deep-rooted connection many former players maintain with the South London club and highlights the significance of the occasion.
Saturday’s victory marked the culmination of a remarkable cup run under Austrian manager Oliver Glasner, who took charge midway through the 2023-2024 season.
The Eagles will now compete in the UEFA Europa League next season, adding another milestone to a memorable campaign.
Moses, who won the FA Cup with Chelsea in 2018, understands the significance of the achievement for his former club and their supporters.
His tribute joins a chorus of congratulations from across the footballing world as Palace celebrate a long-awaited moment of glory.
Crystal Palace’s win not only ends decades of waiting but also provides a source of pride for alumni like Moses, whose early years at the club laid the foundation for successful professional careers.
