Wolverhampton Wanderers among clubs interested in Super Eagles-eligible midfielder
Published: May 21, 2025
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly among several European clubs monitoring Sturm Graz's Super Eagles-eligible midfielder midfielder Tochi Chukwuani ahead of a potential summer transfer.
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Premier League side Wolves, Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim, and unnamed French clubs are all tracking the 22-year-old’s situation.
Chukwuani is expected to win the Austrian Bundesliga title this season with Sturm Graz, having played a key role in the club’s midfield.
Romano shared the development on his official X page, formerly Twitter, stating that Chukwuani’s performances in Austria have not gone unnoticed, with clubs across Europe now showing concrete interest.
Chukwuani, born on 24 March 2003 in Herlev, Denmark, to Nigerian parents, remains eligible to represent the Super Eagles at international level despite his youth appearances for Denmark.
His blend of technical ability, composure, and work rate has made him a standout performer in the Austrian Bundesliga.
A move to the Premier League would represent a major step in the midfielder’s career, while a switch to Germany or France could also offer opportunities for further development.
With his contract at Sturm Graz still active, any move would likely command a reasonable transfer fee.
Chukwuani’s future now appears to be one of the summer’s stories to watch, particularly for fans of the Super Eagles hoping to see him don the green and white of Nigeria.
