Jason Adigun: Cousin of history-making Liverpool forward wanted by non-league clubs

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that several non-league clubs are keeping close tabs on Nigerian attacking midfielder Jason Adigun ahead of a potential summer move.

The 21-year-old will be available on a free transfer from July 1, 2025, following the mutual termination of his contract with recently relegated National League side Dagenham & Redbridge.

He was initially tied to the Daggers until the end of the 2025–2026 season but both parties agreed to part ways ahead of schedule.

Adigun is the cousin of history-making Liverpool forward Rio Ngumoha, who broke Trey Nyoni's record as the youngest player to represent the Reds in the FA Cup.

At 16 years and 135 days old, the former Chelsea schoolboy became the second-youngest debutant in Liverpool's history when he was named in the starting lineup against Accrington Stanley in January 2025, with only Jerome Sinclair ahead of him.

Adigun is weighing up the next step in his career, with offers on the table from clubs in both the National League and the National League North/South, including Kidderminster Harriers.

He enjoyed loan spells at Tonbridge Angels and Eastbourne Borough last season, and previously spent time on loan at Welling United while on the books of Charlton Athletic.

Adigun parted ways with Charlton Athletic at the end of the 2023–2024 season, bringing an eight-year association with the club to an end.
