Turkish pundit Rasim Ozan Kutahyalı believes Victor Osimhen is poised for a remarkable season with Galatasaray., tipping him to score at least 10 goals in the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking on the Ekol Sports YouTube channel, Kütahyalı expressed high expectations for the Nigerian forward, who is widely reported to be on the verge of a historic move to the Turkish giants.
The Super Lig champions have agreed personal terms with Victor Osimhen and will pay €40 million upfront, with an additional €35 million due next year.
Additionally, Napoli will receive ten percent of any future profit from a potential resale, and performance-related bonuses tied to Osimhen’s goal tally have also been included.
Osimhen enjoyed a sensational breakout campaign on loan at Galatasaray last season, racking up an impressive 45 goal involvements across all competitions – the highest tally of his professional career to date.
"Osimhen will score at least 30 league goals this season. He adjusted to the Turkish League last year. He needs to score at least 10 goals in the Champions League,” Kütahyalı stated.
"Galatasaray’s test this year is the Champions League. If Galatasaray doesn’t play in the Champions League in December, the stands will lose their excitement and fullness. Galatasaray must reach the quarterfinals."
Kütahyalı went on to heap praise on Osimhen’s mentality and resilience, citing his journey through adversity in Italy and the warm reception he has received in Turkey.
"Osimhen is a superhuman player. He went through a lot of hardship in Napoli, but Galatasaray welcomed him with open arms and showed him incredible love."
In seventeen career appearances in the UEFA Champions League, Osimhen has nine goals to his name.
