Oyo, Ogun FA Pledge To Support Genuine Soccer Investors

Oyo State Football Association and their Ogun State counterpart have pledged to give their support to any private establishment that can be identified having genuine intension for grassroots soccer development and not to many impostors who only out to milk innocent parents.
The scribe of Ogun FA Kehinde Leo and Oyo State FA’s Technical Committee Chairman, Idowu Oloyede reiterated this in their separate speeches at the 1st passing out ceremony of players Frenage-Progression International Soccer Academy (FPISA) after completion of a 12 - week residential soccer course programme held in Ibadan.
Leo, Ogun FA scribe emphasized the importance of giving aspiring footballers a basic knowledge of the game of soccer, saying such is what is responsible for the success of the game in Europe where we all aspire to emulate.
But noting that lots of impostors have bastardized the sector with all sort of mushrooms football academy that were formed with sole aim to swindle parents, maintaining that the FA is very ready to give its support to any investor that genuinely want to help the game develope.
Oyo FA’s Technical Director, Oloyede in his own submission also affirmed FA’s resolves to partner private investors in developing the round leather game especially at the grassroots within Oyo State.
Saying FPISA has showed a good example of that and that is why they were proud to identify with them while advising the 20 players that would be traveling to Europe for trials with professional clubs to be a good ambassador of Oyo State and Nigeria.
He however, urged them to be disciplined and have belief in themselves, maintaining that only a disciplined player can record a quick success in his football career.
More than 70 players who participated in the FPISA residential soccer course that was supervised by the former Ajax Amsterdam Coach, Sir Tony Calver were presented certificates by FIFA/CAF advisor and a senior lecturer at the University of Ibadan Prof. Babatunde Olu Asagba.
