IKECHUKWU UCHE Focusing Only On Villarreal
Published: October 23, 2012
Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche is guaranteed a spot in Stephen Keshi's roster to next year's African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
He would miss five matches in the Segunda division against Barcelona II, Almeria, Real Madrid, Sabadell and Guadalajara if Nigeria qualifies for the semi -finals of the competition.
''At the moment I do not think it is something that will come. Now I focus only on Villarreal and all I can bring to the team. I think it must be so, approach each game as it comes at a hundred percent, and what you think should be in every moment,'' Uche told Marca.
Post the 2010 World Cup, Uche is widely regarded as Nigeria's most prolific scorer after notching nine goals in nine matches for the Super Eagles.
