Sone Aluko Faces Eight Weeks On Sidelines
Published: January 17, 2013
Fringe Super Eagles player Sone Aluko has been battling with injury since November.
The Hull City forward visited a specialist during the week, and it has been confirmed that the 23 - year - old could face up to eight weeks on the sidelines.
The news will come as a big blow to manager Steve Bruce as Aluko has been one of the revelations of the season so far, scoring 8 goals in 24 games.
''It looks as if he has a small tear in his Achilles and he's going to be in a boot for the best part of four weeks. It is going to be the best part of six to eight weeks before he is back and it is a major concern to us,' Bruce told BBC Radio Humberside.
He added: "He has been paramount to the way we have played so it is a horrible blow. We'll be trying our utmost to try and bring someone in now."
