Kayode, Ajagun Have Not Received Offers From Al Ahly
Published: March 28, 2013
Flying Eagles skipper Abdul Jeleel Ajagun is said to be on the radar of Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
The midfielder has told the Press in Egypt that a transfer to Europe is his top priority.
Ajagun told filgoal.com: ''I received a call from Al Ahly only that it did not evolve to a formal offer. Of course, it's best to play in Europe but Ahly are a great team and I do not mind to join them if they make a good offer.''
Al Ahly are also linked with a move for another Flying Eagles player - free agent Olarenwaju Kayode.
Kayode, who had been undergoing trials with Dinamo Minsk before the start of the African Youth Championship, claims he is not in contact with Ahly and only read about the reports in the media.
''I have not received any communication from Al Ahly, but I'll be playing for those who pay my salary,'' says Kayode to filgoal.com.
19 - year - old Kayode tested with English Championship side Charlton Athletic last December. Despite impressing during trials, he was not offered a contract due to work permit problems.
