Emmanuel Emenike Undergoes Surgery, Could Play At Confederations Cup!
Published: May 03, 2013
On Thursday, Emmanuel Emenike successfully underwent surgery on the meniscus, which was held in an Italian hospital, the official website of Spartak Moscow, spartak.com has reported.
According to Spartak's team doctor, Michael Vartapetova, the Nigeria international is expected to return to the pitch in the next one month or at most six weeks.
Emmanuel Emenike will return from Italy in the next few days to begin his rehabilitation in Moscow.
It means the top scorer at the African Cup of Nation is not totally ruled out from representing Nigeria at one of the showpiece events in the Fifa calender, the Confederations Cup, which takes place in Brazil from June 15 - 30.
That important decision will be made by coach Stephen Keshi and the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation.
