Under 17: Five Golden Eaglets Fail MRI Test
Published: August 12, 2013
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that five members of Nigeria Under 17 Team, the Golden Eaglets that won silver at the CAF Under 17 championship failed a Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan (MRI) conducted over the weekend.
Ahead of the tournament in the United Arab Emirates, the Nigeria Football Federation conducted the MRI test to verify the ages of the players in camp.
The Nigeria Football Federation said those tests were necessary because some of the players might have outgrown the previous one conducted prior to the tournament
Only players that fall into Grade 1 - 5 category are eligible to participate at the World Cup.
Recall that Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi (Nath FC, Lagos), Ibrahim Abdullahi (Sardauna Academy, Kano) and Emmanuel Asadu (Amuneke Academy) had to be excluded from the African Championship by CAF after they failed MRI test.
