English Premier League leading Leicester City have handed a trial to the highly-rated Nigerian defender Jason Akiotu.
Leicester City’s coaching staff ran the rule over the the wing-back on Monday during the 2-0 loss to Liverpool in the U21 Premier League and he was also in action for the Foxes in their defeat to Chelsea last month.
The 18-year-old, who was born in London, has made a number of appearances for Crystal Palace’s Under 18 squad in the ongoing season as well as for the Development Squad.
Akiotu spent seven years with the academy team of the Eagles before he was offered his first professional contract in February 2016, a month before he celebrated his 18th birthday.
