Ndidi's Message To Super Eagles Fans : Relax & Enjoy The Football, I Will Be Fit
Published: May 29, 2018Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi has assured the Super Eagles fans that he will be fit for the World Cup.
Yesterday made it one month that the central midfielder picked up a hamstring injury in a Premier League game against Crystal Palace and afterwards national team and Leicester City medics have put him on a special plan to get him fit for the tournament in Russia.
''I will say I am good and fine. I am looking forward to the World Cup. We have so many friendly games, we have been preparing so hard not just now, we've been preparing for a long time,'' Ndidi told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''We just look forward to it and then go all the way for it, every game is very important.''
When asked if he will be fit for Nigeria's World Cup opener against Croatia on June 16, Ndidi replied : '' Yes, by God's grace''.
Finally, Ndidi had a message for Nigerians, saying : ''All I have to say is for them to keep supporting the Super Eagles and then pray for the team, just sit down, relax and enjoy the football.''
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has said that Ndidi will resume full training with the rest of the players this week.
