Gent Winger Simon Travels To London To Get Second Opinion On Injury
The Nigeria Football Federation will wait until the last minute before officially axing Moses Simon from the World Cup roster, with the winger set to undergo another medical examination in the United Kingdom this week.

The 22-year-old suffered a thigh injury during training last week and the initial prognosis is that he would be sidelined for up to four weeks, which effectively rules him out of the mundial.

Injuries plagued Moses Simon this past season and he missed Nigeria's final World Cup qualifier against Algeria plus the friendly with Argentina due to a foot injury.

''It is not yet final, Simon is going to London for a second scan,'' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''They are not confident with the scan done here, the scan will be done in London when they go for the friendly with England.''

Defenders Chidozie Awaziem and William Troost-Ekong suffered minor injuries last week but participated in the Super Eagles final training session before the friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo.
