Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Stephen Eze Gutted At Omission From Nigeria World Cup Squad
Lokomotiv Plovdiv defender Stephen Eze has expressed his disappointment after he was omitted from Nigeria's World Cup roster set to be confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation in the coming hours.

Eze shone like a million stars as Nigeria qualified for the showpiece game of the 2018 African Nations Championship and this earned him a call-up to the main team ahead of friendlies against Poland and Serbia in March.

Though he didn't come off the bench in both matches, he was named in the Super Eagles 30-man provisional roster following a bright start to his career at Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Writing on Twitter, Eze stated : ''Sadly, my journey to #WorldCup ends here. I am disappointed to not make the final squad, but I want to thank our coach & management for the opportunity!

''I wish my team the best & hope to join in celebrations when they bring the trophy home! GO #NIGERIA 🇳🇬⚽️! #DefendLikeEze''.

Kano Pillars striker Junior Lokosa, Standard Liege midfielder Uche Agbo and Plateau United netminder Dele Ajiboye have not been selected in the 25-man group, while Gent's Moses Simon will travel with the team to London to undergo another medical examination after sustaining a thigh injury in training last week.
