Thunderstorms Derail Super Eagles Last Workout Ahead Of England Friendly
Nigeria's preparations for Saturday's international friendly against the Three Lions of England was on Friday hampered by the rain induced thunderstorms that rocked London and left the Wembley Stadium waterlogged.

Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr was sighted inspecting the stadium with some of his backroom staff and only managed to lay cones on the ground in anticipation of a better weather.

The Eagles arrived London on May 31 and Thursday's training session was held at the Hive Stadium.

The Eagles have played four friendlies thus far; against Argentina, Poland, Serbia and Congo DR.

Meanwhile, England boss Gareth Southgate in his press conference on Friday assured that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder with Nigerian blood, Dele Alli and Manchester United forward Jese Lingard can play in the same starting eleven for the 1966 world champions.

"Surely they can play together," Southgate quipped when asked by one of the journalists.
