Benfica New Boy Ebuehi: I Did A Good Job Against England
Published: June 02, 2018Benfica newbie Tyronne Ebuehi has admitted that the Super Eagles had a difficult first half in their 2-1 loss to England but gave their all after the intermission.
The Dutch-born defender made his sixth appearance for the national team after replacing Abdullahi Shehu at half-time.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone, Ebuehi said: ''I think we had it hard in the first half but I think in the second half we did very very well, and personally I just did what I can and it went well personally.
''There was also some small mistakes but I did a good job.''
Predominantly a right-back, Ebuehi was deployed at right wing-back when he subbed in and he says he feels at home playing both positions and relished making his first appearance at Wembley.
''To be honest for me it doesn't matter. I like both of the roles.
''Today was a great atmosphere, great stadium also, of course it helps us a lot because the World Cup is the biggest stage and everybody is watching. Today a lot of people watched the game,'' he concluded
