Published: November 05, 2022Nigerian striker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji has received a nomination for Arsenal's Goal of the Month award for October 2022, informs the official website of the Gunners.
Butler-Oyedeji has been in brilliant form this season particularly in the Papa Johns Trophy, where he has scored three goals and bagged an assist in three appearances against Football League opposition.
The Gunners reached the knockout stages of the Papa Johns Trophy after a 3-1 win over Northampton Town on October 18 ,with Butler-Oyedeji playing a key role in the win.
Five minutes into stoppage time, the Hale End Academy product rounded off a blistering counter attack with a looping effort beyond Maxted after combining with fellow Nigerian striker Joel Ideho.
That strike has made a nine-goal shortlist for Arsenal's October Goal of the Month alongside efforts from Arsenal first team stars Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey who has been double nominated.
The other nominees for the monthly accolade are Ismail Oulad M'Hand (2), Caitlin Foord, Lia Walti and Jordan Nobbs.
