'Every team in the world wants to buy him' - Peseiro on Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea-linked Eagles star
Published: November 10, 2022Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro has opined that no club in the world will pass away the opportunity to have Victor Osimhen in their squad.
Peseiro believes that the qualities of Osimhen speak for him and he's one of the most sought after players in the world at the moment.
The 23-year-old was linked with a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium during the summer transfer window, with several Premier League clubs credited with an interest.
Despite the close of the window, transfer reports have surfaced in recent weeks, with the 2015 U17 World Cup winner linked with possible moves to Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
"He scores a lot and he is young. It is certainly not easy, usually a center forward finds this level later on, " Peseiro told Tuttomercatoweb.
"But he always scores goals, at this moment I don't think I'm wrong if I say that every team in the world wants to buy him.
"He knows how to press, he knows how to score, he knows how to use his body. He would know how to play in all teams."
Osimhen's stats this season shows the reason top European clubs are in hunt for him. The Nigerian has scored eight goals in the Italian Serie A and has registered two assists.
He is expected to be in the Nigeria squad to face the Portugal in an international friendly next Thursday in Lisbon.
