Napoli make transfer decision on Super Eagles star amid links with Premier League clubs
Published: November 13, 2022Italian Serie A table toppers Napoli have made a transfer decision on Victor Osimhen ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Manchester United have been linked with possible moves for the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner but a deal is unlikely to happen in January 2023.
Osimhen has been in red hot form since recovering from a muscle injury, scoring in all the matches he has payed in the Serie A except for the game against Empoli in which he won a penalty converted by Hirving Lozano.
CBS Sports Golazo reporter Ben Jacobs has stated the obvious regarding the future of the Nigeria international, saying that Napoli won't listen to offers for their number 9 in January, adding that he is valued in excess of 100 million euros.
Per the report, interested Premier League clubs will push to sign Osimhen next summer though the forward is very happy in Naples.
The 23-year-old has approximately two and a half years left on his contract with Napoli, whom he joined from Lille for a club record fee of 70 million euros in 2020.
Osimhen is the leading scorer in the Serie A with nine goals in eleven matches.
