Osimhen among three high profile strikers Man Utd are targeting to replace Ronaldo
Published: November 15, 2022Following Cristiano Ronaldo's explosive interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, Manchester United have started preparing for life without the Portugal icon.
According to Mirror UK, via Express, Manchester United are ready to sign a new number 9 to bolster their attacking options with Ronaldo expected to leave the club in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have drawn up a shortlist of three strikers to replace Ronaldo should he depart Old Trafford.
Per the report, the attackers are Paris St Germain striker and France World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane and Napoli marksman Osimhen.
With Mbappe valued at 150 million pounds, a more affordable option could be the Nigeria international who has a price tag of £87 million.
Osimhen is back to his best after recovering from an injury, scoring eight goals in his last eight matches and has proved to be one of the best young strikers playing in the top five European leagues.
Signed from Lille for a club record fee in the region of 70 million euros in 2020, Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until June 2025.
