FC Midtjylland strengthened their forward line with the acquisition of talented Nigerian striker Stanley Iheanacho on a three-year deal in the summer.
Two months after officially joining the Wolves, the former Golden Eaglets striker made his competitive debut for FC Midtjylland in their extraordinary 13-0 win over Aabenraa BK in the second round of the Oddset Pokalen on Wednesday evening.
Iheanacho was among six players from the U19 team that debuted in the match, the others being offensive duo Julius Voldby and Akwasi Owusu, midfielder Alamara Djabi and defenders Adam Andersen and Christian Jørgensen.
The teenage forward was the star of the show at the Aabenraa Stadion, with four goals to his name in the comprehensive win.
Iheanacho netted FC Midtjylland's third goal in the 35th minute and slotted into an empty net to make it 6-0 two minutes before halftime.
The centre-forward completed his hat-trick seven minutes into the second half and he wasn't done yet as he scored the pick of the goals and his fourth of the evening at minute 65 when he curled the ball into the far corner.
Midtjylland's other scorers were Rømer, Gabriel, Brynhildsen, Maroon, Pedersen, Fossum, Voldby and Charles (2).
