Bameyi headlines Flying Eagles 21-man squad in Ivory Coast for friendlies against Young Elephants
Published: February 25, 2025
Nigeria's U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, arrived in Abidjan on Tuesday morning ahead of two friendly matches against their Ivorian counterparts, the Young Elephants.
The matches, scheduled for Wednesday and Friday at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny, are part of the team's preparations for the upcoming CAF U20 tournament in Abidjan.
The Flying Eagles secured their place in the tournament after successfully defending their WAFU Zone B title in Togo last year.
Despite a shaky start with a loss to Burkina Faso, they went on to win the competition, sealing victory with a 2-1 win over Ghana in the final.

The first match will kick off at 3:30 PM Ivorian time (4:30 PM Nigeria time) on Wednesday, with the second fixture set for Friday at the same venue and time.
