Excellent Bassey, Jacob Murphy make BBC's Premier League TOTW alongside Man Utd, Aston Villa stars

Fulham's Calvin Bassey and Newcastle United's Jacob Murphy been recognized for their outstanding performances in the latest round of games played in the English top-flight, with former Watford striker Troy Deeney picking the Nigeria international and the Nigeria Football Federation target in the BBC Premier League Team of the Week.
Bassey put up a defensive performance that suggests he is a world-class centre-back in the making, having pocketed the most feared forward in the Premier League, Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.
Murphy, a player of interest to Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, was the standout performer as Carabao Cup winners Newcastle United thrashed Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium, notching a brace against his favorite Premier League opponents.
Eight different clubs have contributed players to Deeney's Team of the Week, namely Brentford, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Bournemouth, with Wolves, the Cottagers and Lions having two representatives each.
Brentford goalie is protected by a back three of Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace), Calvin Bassey (Fulham) and Noussair Mazraoui (Manchester United).
Aston Villa duo Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers, and Wolves' Joao Gomes are in a three-man midfield, while the attack consists of Newcastle United's Murphy, Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon, Bournemouth's Evanilson and Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen.
In justifying his picks, Deeney labelled Cavin Bassey and Jacob Murphy as excellent.
"By far the best player for Fulham, he was excellent," Deeney hailed the Nigeria international.
On Murphy, he said: "Two great goals, has he been the most underrated player this season? I would say I don't know of anyone who has gone more under the radar, but has been a seven-and-a-half or an eight out of 10 every game. He's been excellent."
