One in, one out: Brighton sign Super Falcons star Nnadozie after releasing Nigerian goalkeeper
Published: June 27, 2025
With a statement on the official website, Brighton & Hove Albion Women have announced the signing of Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
The two-time CAF Goalkeeper of the Year will complete her move to the Seagulls on July 1, a day after the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.
Brighton have acquired Nnadozie following the release of 2022 Nigeria U17 invitee Comfort Erhabor earlier this month.
The 20-year-old Erhabor, who is also a goalkeeper, is set to depart the club after loan spells with Hibernian, Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth in the last eighteen months.
Nnadozie joined Paris FC from Rivers Angels in 2020, making 118 appearances and starring in the 2025 Coupe de France final.
She played 16 UEFA Women's Champions League matches and won multiple Best Goalkeeper awards in 2024.
At Rivers Angels, she won the league and three domestic cups and was named IFFHS Africa's Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.
During her four seasons with Rivers Angels, Nnadozie played a key role in the club's 2019 Nigeria Women’s Premier League title triumph and was instrumental in their three Nigeria Women’s Cup victories.
The 55-cap Nigeria international has been named in the Super Falcons squad for next month's Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
She was linked with Brighton's Women's Super League rivals, Everton, but nothing came out of it.
