'As skinny as he is' – Ndidi names Leicester legend Mahrez as best footballer he's played with

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has hailed Manchester City and Leicester City legend Riyad Mahrez as the best player he has ever played with.
Ndidi, who played alongside the Algerian winger at Leicester City, made the revelation during an appearance on The Culture League Podcast.
Ndidi and Mahrez shared the pitch 53 times as Leicester City teammates, combining directly for four goals during their spell together.
Speaking highly of Mahrez’s skills, Ndidi pointed out the unique qualities that set the winger apart from his other teammates.
"I have played with great players but I will say Riyad Mahrez. He is so skinny but he's so amazing," Ndidi said.
"His touches were like top. Based on touches he's one of the best in the world. He is so good. As skinny as he is, he's so difficult to defend."
Mahrez, who has enjoyed amassed an impressive record in the Premier League.
During his time at Leicester City, the 34-year-old winger scored 48 goals and notched 35 assists in 179 games.
His spell at Manchester City was especially successful, scoring 78 goals and providing 59 assists in 236 appearances.
Mahrez played a pivotal role in their historic 2015-2016 Premier League title win.
His contributions were critical in cementing his status as one of the top wingers in the league.
Ndidi, who recently completed a move from Leicester to Besiktas after spending eight and a half years at the Foxes, now looks forward to showcasing his abilities in the Turkish league.
