Official: Dessers squad number at Panathinaikos confirmed after leaving Rangers

Cyriel Dessers has completed a move to Panathinaikos, with the Greek Super League giants confirming the signing of the Nigerian striker on Monday, September 1.
The Super Eagles forward has penned a three-year contract, bringing an end to his two-season spell at Rangers, where he netted 52 goals in 117 appearances across all competitions.
During his time in Glasgow, Dessers lifted the League Cup, finished as the Scottish Premiership's top scorer, and claimed the Sam English Bowl.
Panathinaikos have been busy in the transfer market, with Dessers becoming their tenth acquisition of the summer window.
He joins a list of arrivals including Pedro Chirivella, Georgios Kyriakopoulos, Milos Pantovic, Ahmed Touba, David Calabria, Konstantinos Kotsaris, Anass Zaroury, Renato Sanches and Alban Lafont.
The Nigeria international will wear the number 33 shirt in Athens, a jersey previously donned by Panagiotis Armenakas, Mladen Petric, Alexander Tambakis, Mateo Radovanovic, Orestis Karnezis, Avgerinos Katranas and Stefanos Kotsolis.
Dessers has carved out a reputation as a prolific and reliable goalscorer, amassing 163 goals and 57 assists in 396 senior appearances across Europe.
His career has spanned clubs in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Scotland, including spells with OH Leuven, Lokeren, NAC Breda, FC Utrecht, Heracles Almelo, Genk, Cremonese and Rangers.
