Exclusive: Arab Contractors Interested In Akwa United Defender Dubbed The Nigerian Vidic
Published: November 28, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Egyptian Premier League team El Mokawloon SC, better known as Arab Contractors in these parts, are working on a deal to sign Harrison Ibukun from Akwa United in the winter transfer market.
After the coach and agent of Arab Contractors watched the videos of the young stopper, the duo labelled him an exceptional talent and the club have already sent him an invitational letter to undergo trials.
Subject to a successful visa application, Ibukun will travel to Egypt in the coming days to train with the club for about five days as they want to check out his fitness before offering him a deal.
He has been described by his minders as a strong, tall and powerful defender, and has the same playing style as former Manchester United star Nemanja Vidi when he was at his peak.
The Arab Contractor trial was brokered by Nigerian intermediary Joel Buade.
