Ogungbo Scores In Spectacular Style But Arsenal Bow Out Of FA Youth Cup In Last Eight

Arsenal's campaign in the FA Youth Cup came to an end on Friday night after they were beaten 4-1 by Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
As many as four exciting teenagers of Nigerian descent, namely midfielder Miguel Azeez, defenders Daniel Oyegoke and Mazeed Ogungbo, and winger Ryan Alebiosu were named in the Gunners starting line-up.
Bukayo Saka and the injured Arthur Okonkwo who are both eligible to feature in the FA Youth Cup were left out of the matchday squad.
Sam Burns' stunning goal handed Blackburn Rovers a 1-0 lead at the break, and the home team completely dominated proceedings in the second half, scoring through Wright-Phillips, Burns and Brennan.
Ogungbo scored what was only a consolation goal for Arsenal in the first minute of second half stoppage time when he fired home a spectacular shot from a tight angle.
The aforementioned Nigerian teenagers were in action for the entirety of the game.
Up next, Arsenal will face Reading in an U18 Premier League game at Arsenal Training Centre on Saturday, March 14.
